Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OurTab.US (the “Service”). OurTab.US is a trade name of Uber Website Solutions LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Agreement and consent

By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, process, store, and share information. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Where the product asks you to confirm acceptance (for example, a consent step at sign-in), that action helps record your agreement to the then-current Terms and Privacy Policy.

2. The Service

OurTab.US is a web and mobile application for logging and organizing shared household expenses. Optional features may include connecting bank accounts through our integration partner Plaid (subject to Plaid’s terms and your bank’s agreements) and purchasing subscription plans processed by Stripe. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Accounts and sign-in

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You may sign in using supported identity providers (such as Google, Apple, or Facebook) as made available in the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account with those providers and for all activity that occurs under your OurTab account.

You must provide accurate information when using authentication features. You may not use another person’s account without permission.

4. Household data

The Service may allow you to create or join a “household” and share expense data with other members you invite. You are responsible for whom you invite and for the accuracy of information you enter. You must not use the Service to record or share unlawful content.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and bank linking

Stripe. If you purchase a paid plan, charges and payment methods are processed by Stripe. You agree to comply with Stripe’s terms and policies that apply to checkout, billing portal, and payment processing. Subscription status and related identifiers may be stored with your account to unlock paid features for your household. We do not store full payment card numbers on OurTab; Stripe handles card data in line with its documentation and certifications.

Plaid. If you link a financial institution, you authorize Plaid and your financial institution to share account and transaction data as needed for the features you use. Your use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid’s end user terms and privacy policy. We use that data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate payment information and for understanding recurring charges. If you dispute a charge, you may need to work with Stripe or your financial institution according to their procedures.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with operation, scraping or overloading systems, reverse engineering except where permitted by law, or using the Service in violation of applicable law.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

The Service is not financial, tax, or legal advice. Balances and summaries are for your convenience only.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uber Website Solutions LLC (including the Service offered under the trade name OurTab.US) and its suppliers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” and document version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law. If we require new consent for material changes, we will describe how to agree in the product or by notice.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or harms the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time.
